![]() |
On March 23, 2009 the Follow That Dream Collector's label will release Standing Room Only album as a double CD set in the 7" Classic Album Series. As you know the original concept album was never released and it's possible that the version FTD create was never meant to be, but it's the best way to present the Las Vegas masters from February of 1972 and the masters and outtakes from the March 1972 sessions at RCA. In February, FTD will release Blue Hawaii as a 2 CD Special Edition 2 CD Set in their Classic Movie Soundtrack Series. |

Elvis Country (I'm 10,000 Years Old) 2 CD FTD Special Edition |
![]() |
How do you follow up an album like From Elvis In Memphis and the singles and follow up album that flowed from the 1969 recording sessions at Chip's Moman's Memphis American Sound Studio's? In February 1970 RCA recorded Elvis live in Las Vegas and released the classic live album, On Stage, but it was not until June of that year that Elvis re-entered a studio to cut an album proper. Elvis Country was the result, it was Elvis' only real concept album and in my opinion does rate as Elvis best album.More Elvis Classic Albums. |

Elvis : That's The Way It Is - 2 CD FTD Special Edition |
![]() |
Elvis - That's The Way It Is 2 CD FTD Special Edition - So, you already have the 3-disc That's The Way It Is: Special Edition from 2000, what do you need with this new 2-disc version? Yes, There is over 40 minutes of new material on this 2008 version of That's The Way It Is. Most of the performances not previously released on earlier editions of That's The Way It Is, A Hundred Years From Now, and The Nashville Marathon are incomplete rehearsals and blown takes, though. However, there are some real gems on this release, including the multiple 'Patch It Up' takes. Plus, this edition pulls everything together in one nice package. It has improved sound quality on a number of the previously released alternate tracks. However, the slight degrading of sound quality on most of the master recordings compared to previous releases is disturbing. This is most noticeable with headphones and probably won't otherwise affect you. More Elvis Classic Albums. |
