That's The Way It Is : 180 gram 12" Vinyl Record : 'That's the Way It Is' is the 40th album by Elvis Presley, originally released in November 1970. The album consists of eight tracks recorded in the studio in Nashville at the marathon sessions in June 1970 that would also yield several singles and the 'Elvis Country' album, and four tracks from his August 1970 show at The International Hotel in Las Vegas. Although it is not generally considered a soundtrack album, it accompanied the theatrical release of the documentary film of the same name.A thoroughly enjoyable document of Presley in his pre-Army prime.

From Elvis In Memphis LP : 180 gram 12" Vinyl LP Album : Exclusively remastered 180 gram audiophile vinyl pressing. One month after Elvis' 1968 Comeback Special aired on national television, Elvis Presley made the most artistically successful recordings of his later career. In January and February of 1969, he held sessions at American Studios in Memphis. Elvis was reportedly worried that his recording career was finished, that he had been displaced by newcomers such as the Beatles. Perhaps goaded on by this perception, Elvis Presley reached new heights during the American sessions.

Elvis Presley Vinyl LP : 180 gram 12" Vinyl LP Album : Exclusively remastered 180 gram audiophile vinyl pressing. When Elvis first broke on the national scene, nobody--not RCA, not Elvis' manager Colonel Tom Parker, and certainly not Elvis himself--had any idea how long his popularity would last. Most assumed that rock and roll was a passing fad and that Presley would soon be relegated to the 'where are they now' bin. Unsurprisingly, RCA rushed Presley's first album to market before Elvis had recorded enough new material for an entire record. The result, ELVIS PRESLEY, is a cut-and-paste job consisting of seven RCA recordings and five older tracks licensed from Sun Records. |

A Date With Elvis Vinyl LP : 180 gram 12" Vinyl LP Album : Deluxe gatefold cover and great sound! 'Good products are worth their weight in gold when times are a little harsh – and this album was certainly a genially placed stopgap. In 1959, at the time when RCA launched this record on the market, the label’s shining rock star was out of the country doing his military service in good old Germany. |
