| Kathy Westmoreland : Elvis' Voice of an Angel contains 43 photos including numerous pictures of Elvis and Kathy by famed Elvis photographers Bob Heis and Keith Alverson This book spans Kathy's life before, during and after her years with Elvis Presley and includes interviews with friends from all three eras. It was in August of 1970, right after the release of That's The Way It Is, that the new soprano by the name of Kathy Westmoreland entered the picture. Kathy, as we soon found out, was not only Elvis' high voice singer, but also his confident, close friend and lover. Kathy continued to stand by his side until his death in 1977. As Kathy's personal assistant, and close friend, I've gotten to know the woman Elvis introduced to us as, 'the little girl with the beautiful high voice'. Getting to know this wonderful, crazy personality has been a total delight, and one that needs to be shared with the world. It is with great pleasure I introduce to you, Kathy Westmoreland.

We soon married and had two wonderful children, who we named Mike and Shelly (yes after Shelley Fabres). They were of course both raised on Elvis, even seeing him at a live concert in 1977. Both are still huge Elvis fans to this day. Today our son Mike lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with his lovely wife Sarah. The have given us two wonderful grandchildren, Cory and Megan, who we re devoting our lives to spoiling rotten. Shelly s been in numerous magazines, rock videos, TV commercials, and has even appeared in a few movies. She s been a runway model all over the US and Europe. Her face has even graced billboards for hair products in France. She spends her spare time partying with big name celebrities, while I just listen to her stories with my mouth open. In 1998 I tried my hand at becoming a full time writer. After being lucky enough to have several articles published in pet magazines, as well as articles in the Kids Say sections of several newspapers and magazines. In 1999 I approached Suite 101 with the idea for a column on Elvis Presley. Luckily, they loved the idea and I went to work immediately as their Elvis Columnist, a job that would keep me busy for the next five years. The Elvis column enabled me to interview many well-known celebrities from Elvis circle of family and friends. It also led to my weekly Chat Club, that introduced me to numerous Elvis fans, some of which remain among my closest friends to this day. One such friend is Melody Sanders, who would eventually become my writing partner.
