Before Sun : This chapter covers the time period starting with 1950 and ending just before Elvis recorded That's All Right Mama. Concerts : Elvis performed over 600 concerts in the 1950s. Left behind were a variety of programs, ticket stubs, and advertisements for the collector to enjoy. 1956 EPE : This chapter documents the prolific creation of merchandise unleashed beginning in 1956 by Colonel Parker, with the assistance of Hank Saperstein, under the EPE (Elvis Presley Enterprises) banner. Elvis Buttons : If you loved Elvis or hated him, a button was available for you to let the world know. Elvis Magazines : During his lifetime, Elvis Presley appeared in hundreds of magazines. In the early days, he was confined to a paragraph or two in a hillbilly magazine. By 1956, however, Elvis progressed first to appearances on covers to magazines devoted entirely to him. Elvis Movies : Elvis made 4 movies from 1956 to 1958. Fortunately, thanks to the Colonel and the movie studios, a wide variety of promotional material was created for the movies. Records / RCA : Elvis' record releases of the 1950s are documented in this chapter. Also covered are the RCA promotional and advertising pieces created in conjunction with the record releases. Elvis Photos / Postcards : This chapter documents collectible paper items, including bonus photos and postcards. Sheet Music : Due to their affordability and the relative ease of locating them, a complete collection of Elvis 1950s sheet music is an obtainable goal. And, Autographs : One of the most desired items of any Elvis collector is an authentic autograph.
